South Korea says it boosts surveillance after North claims spy satellite launch
South Korea will suspend an inter-Korean agreement to restart aerial surveillance of North Korea following North Korea's launch of a military spy satellite.
The United States and its allies condemned the satellite launch, believing it was intended to improve North Korea's missile technology.
North Korea claims the right to launch spy satellites in response to perceived threats, but the UN prohibits such launches. [ more ]
